Lomani Island Resort will be carrying out some extensive refurbishments and rebuilding work on their public areas, starting in spring 2020. They will be demolishing the existing reception building and constructing a brand new Reception facility, along with a new bar and a full refurbishment of the pool and surrounding areas. Whilst this work is being carried out, the Resort will be closed to guests from 6th March - 31st May 2020. We will update if there are any changes to this work or the closure dates. If you have any queries, regarding this resort or the construction work, please contact us directly.
Lomani Island Resort is a beach-side couples-only resort on the small tropical island paradise of Malolo Lailai, just a short 10 miles as the crow flies from Nadi International Airport on Viti Levu, and just a 10 mins flight or a 50 mins scenic catamaran journey from Port Denarau Harbour.
Situated on the southern tip of Malolo Lailai Island, the Lomani Island Resort has been built in an old coconut plantation and is set in lush tropical gardens right on the beachfront, which extends to over 4 miles of private sandy beach.
Currently, they have just 30 bures (bungalows) and suites in the resort in 4 categories; Beachfront Bures, Beachfront Pool Bures, Deluxe Suites and Hibiscus Suites. The 8 Deluxe Suites are located in a 2-storey building facing the beach and offer a separate bedroom with 4-poster King bed, ensuite bathroom with walk-in glass shower, hairdryer, bathrobes and complimentary Pure Fiji toiletries, separate living room with large sofas, TV with DVD player, telephone, mini fridge, bottled water, tea and coffee making facilities, air conditioning and French doors opening to a private furnished balcony (1st floor units) or patio (ground floor units). Either side of the doors, there is also louvered window panels with insect netting to let sea breezes in but any insects out. The 2 Hibiscus Suites are very similar to the Deluxe Suites and offer the same amenities and facilities, but are located in a duplex units, set close to the beachfront. The Hibiscus Suites are on ground level only and have a private furnished patio and terrace.
The 14 Beachfront Bures are on the opposite side of the resort to the Suites and stretch out in a line along the shoreline, set amongst the shady coconut palms just a stones throw to the sand. They are slightly smaller than the Suites but are detached bures, and offer similar amenities and facilities as the Suites. They have one large room with king bed and sitting area looking out over your private terrace with table and chairs, 2 loungers and sun umbrella and view of the beach, with a spacious ensuite bathroom with indoor and outdoor courtyard shower and double vanities. The 6 brand new (April 17) Beachfront Pool Bures are at the end of the beachline, so in a very quiet area, ideal for a romantic stay. They are the same as the Beachfront Bures, but additionally have a larger sun deck, with a shaded day bed and sun loungers and private plunge pool, surrounded with privacy screening and tropical planting that, in time, will fill out to give even more privacy.
The beach and poolside Flame Tree Restaurant offers al fresco dining in the dining room, under the garden gazebo, or even a private dining table in the gardens or on the beach. They serve a varied menu of International and Pacific Rim dishes with Fijian influences, using many local ingredients, fresh local seafood and quality imported meats and produce. If you want to eat outside the resort, there is not a huge number of restaurants on this small island, but you do have a couple of choices in the nearby resorts of Plantation and Musket Cove.
Many activities and watersport equipment is complimentary for guests, including standard and glass-bottom kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, snorkeling equipment with daily outer reef snorkeling trips, hobie cat sailing, windsurfing, handline fishing, weekly dolphin safari and village and island guided tours. The Tours and Excursions desk can also suggest and book other activities around the area from other suppliers. There is a free-form pool surrounded by a large sun terrace with day beds, loungers and umbrellas to relax in comfort and shade. The on-site Spa provides a range of body and beauty treatments, and gives you a complimentary 15 minute foot massage on arrival. If you need to keep in touch with the world while you're away, they offer complimentaryWi-Fi internet access across the resort, but a Premium service, with faster internet speeds, is available for a fee.
Lomani Island Resort is a wonderful property for a honeymoon, but is also ideal for a wedding or Vow Renewal service, with Wedding Packages that can offer a basic ceremony with beach location with decorated wedding arch, officiant and fees, plus options like local choirs and Fijian Warrior escort if required. Tailor-made weddings can be arranged to your exact specifications, and you can hire the whole resort for your entire wedding party, or even for a big family reunion.
The Lomani Island Resort is the perfect retreat for a romantic vacation where you can do as little or as much as you want with the love of your life.

Please note: Plantation Resort, which is a bit further along the shore from Lomani, will be undertaking a major beach and lagoon improvement project, that will run from 22nd March 17 to 31st July 17. This will involve dredging the lagoon north of that resort and sculpting the seabed to improve ocean flow through the lagoon and create an all-tide swimming area. Although the work is not near the Lomani end of the beach, guests may be able see some of the equipment and occasionally, may be able to hear the work going on, in the distance. It should not really disturb guests here, but you may just want to be aware of this work.

Fiji has one of the best air service connections of any of the islands in the Pacific.
Fiji Airways ( was Air Pacific ), Fiji's national carrier, provides a daily service to Sydney, Auckland and Los Angeles, and frequent flights to Brisbane and Melbourne. San Francisco San Francisco. Further afield it operates 5 times a week to Hong Kong, twice a week to Tokyo and 3 times a week to Singapore They also provide regular services to the neighbouring island nations of Tonga, Samoa, Vanuatu, Kiribati, Tuvulu and the Solomon Islands.
Korean Air operate three flights a week between Seoul and Nadi. On the southbound flights from Seoul a direct connection can be made off Korean Air's daily London-Seoul flight. However, on the return flight, a night stop will be required in Seoul, as the flight timings do not permit a same day connection.
Air New Zealand operates daily to/from Auckland with connections to its double-daily flights to London, either via Los Angeles or Hong Kong. Air New Zealand also operates a codeshare arrangement with Air Pacific providing seats on their non-stop Nadi-Los Angeles flights.
Virgin Australia operate a regular service from/to Sydney, with connections to many other Australian cities.
Air Calin operate twice a week between Noumea and Nadi.
Air Niugini operate a twice a week service from and to Port Moresby via Honiara to Nadi.
Pacific Sun, Fiji Airways's domestic airline subsidiary, operates an extensive domestic flight network covering all the countries main islands, with at least a daily service. The main northern islands receive at least two flights a day and some times more, the less populated islands get a restricted service, so sometimes a night stop in Nadi or Suva may be required when connecting between some of the less popular islands.
A number of the outer Island Resorts operate their own dedicated daily flights, to transfer their clients from Nadi to the resort and back, using either fixed wing commuter aircraft, seaplanes or helicopters. Further details of these will be given at the time we provide our quotation.
